Ignition System Basic And Spark Plug







The ignition system functions
         The function of the engine ignition system is as follows:
To increase the supply voltage (either from a battery or magneto) of 6 or 12 volts to 30,000 volts. High voltage is generated to allow the flow jumps to the next ignition relief plug electrodes to ..create fireworks in order to sprinkle a mixture of air to burn fuel during the power stroke

During the contact point of the primary circuit is completely closed. When the flywheel (which has a magnet) rotates, the magnetic field will be cut off the main loop. Current will flow in the main circuit and the main loop into electro magnet. The magnetic field is generated in the main loop.

Flywheel will continue to rotate, then the contact point will be open due to the action cam. When the contact points open, the primary circuit failure and is no longer current can flow to it. Magnetic field is in the main loop will collapse and cause a high pressure induced voltage of the coil duplicate.
Voltage high pressure will flow into the spark plug to produce fireworks spark order to burn the fuel air mixture during the power stroke.
Condenser is to help accelerate the collapse of the magnetic field in the main loop.The faster the magnetic field collapses in the main loop, the higher the voltage induced in the coil duplicate.

During the closed contacts
During the contact points are closed, the main circuit is complete. Current will flow from the battery to the main loop (in the ignition lock) next to the contact point and down to earth.
The main loop of the electro magnet and the magnetic field also occurs in the main loop.
When the contact point is opened by a cam
The cam will be around to cause the contact points open. With these circuits will be disconnected. No more current flows in the circuit and causing the magnetic field is in the main loop to collapse.
When the magnetic field collapses, then the high voltage induced in the coil duplicate.High-voltage stress will go to the rotor arm inside the distributor. Rotor arm is currently opposed to the source side of the distributor cap to allow flow through it and jump directly to the spark plug to produce fireworks spark
Together with the installation of the distributor rotor arm responsible for distributing the high voltage at each spark plug in the relay, or take turns in the order of combustion, such as 1,3,4, 2, or 1,2,4,3.

Ignition loop serves as a raised voltage transformer supplies the high voltage can produce a spark fireworks
It consists of a main loop and duplicates the loop, which contains the main loop 150 to 300 turns of wire dimeter is 0.4 to 1.0mm. While loop contains duplicate with 15,000 to 30.000 turns of wire dimeter is 0.5 to 0.8mm. Please refer to Figure 10.4.1
