The terms of the engine.
i) The Top One (CASH) - refers to the very top limit movement of the piston (TDC)
ii) The Ground Once (KBS) - Refers to the bottom limit of movement of the piston (BDC)
iii) Cylinder - Division in which the piston moves
iv) Hole (Bore) - The diameter of the cylinder
v) stroke - the piston movement of the KBS CASH or otherwise.
vi) Distance Running - The distance between the center of the crankshaft with the crank pin center
vii) Rounds per minute (PSM) - The number of crankshaft rotation per minute
Capacitance term engine
i) Burning Room - a room or area where the air is compressed in the cylinder
ii) The volume of displacement - The volume or space occurs when the piston moves from the CASH to the KBS.
iii) Compression Ratio - The ratio in which the compressed air and fuel in the cylinder. See Figure 2.1.2.iv
Compression ratio =
Compression ratio =
The clearance volume + volume displacement | |
Example calculation:
Given that the clearance volume and the volume displacement 10cm3 70cm3. What is the cylinder compression ratio?
Answer:
Compression ratio
But the compression ratio = 8:1
